May 2024 – We are proud to announce that we have received accreditation from the Food Banks Canada Standards of Excellence program, the first food bank in Ontario to earn this accredation!
This program sets the foundation for a stronger and more agile food banking system, which means we can provide even better service to those in need. It also offers an opportunity for us to learn and innovate together, challenging the status quo and making a greater collective impact on food insecurity across Canada.
COVID-19 Update – A Message for those using our Service
During the COVID 19 crisis the Barrie Food Bank has closed its Morning Drop In program for the immediate future. It is our hope to continue to provide groceries during our Afternoon Grocery Program.
