Home Runs For The Hungry

(Rain date – Sunday, May 4, 2025)

Step up to the plate and support our mission

A community where no one is hungry.

Together, we’re not just playing ball, we’re rallying our community to tackle hunger head-on. Every ticket sold, every swing, every cheer and every home run, brings us closer to our mission of building a community where no one goes hungry. So grab your glove, grab your tickets, and let’s knock hunger out of the park, one swing at a time!

– Karen Shuh

As the Ward 2 Councillor for the City of Barrie, it is my pleasure to host this great event for the second year. Barrie Food Bank needs our support more than ever and what better way to help than by coming out and enjoying a fun afternoon at the ball park!

– Craig Nixon

As president of the Barrie Baycats, I couldn’t be more thrilled to support Barrie Food Bank. We’re not just donating players, we’re donating our passion for the game and our commitment to our community. Let’s hit hunger out of the park together! ⚾

– Josh Matlow

Deputy Chief Rob Burke

Deputy Police Chief Rob Burke might be used to keeping the streets safe, but in the Home Runs for the Hungry charity baseball game, he’s taking on a different kind of “steal” as he slides into base! Known for his quick thinking on duty and his quick reflexes on the field, Rob’s ready to pitch in to support the Barrie Food Bank—just don’t ask him to cuff the umpire if the call doesn’t go his way!

A.J. Pieprzak

Barrie Food Bank Board of Directors Treasurer

Simcoe Youth Choir

Will be singing our National Anthem!

Kat Chabot

Kat Chabot, our local songbird, will kick off the game by belting out the national anthem—she’s known for ‘hitting’ the high notes. Whether she’s on stage or at the ballpark, Kat’s voice is as powerful as a grand slam, and she’s here to bring some harmony to our support for the Barrie Food Bank.

John Brassard

MP for Barrie-Innisfil,  John Brassard is more accustomed to making laws in Parliament, but at the Home Runs for the Hungry charity baseball game, he’s focused on hitting them out of the park! With his signature style and a legislative-level swing, he’s set to make a big impact for the Barrie Food Bank—just don’t expect any filibusters on the field!
