Barrie’s Little Food Pantries
Barrie’s Little Food Pantries are a collaboration with local organizations to provide access to food 24/7. The pantries are stocked by the host organization, the community and the Barrie Food Bank. Community members are encouraged to add items* to the pantry. Anyone needing food is encouraged to take what they need.
Little Food Pantries can be found at these locations:
Burton Street United Church, 37 Burton Ave. Barrie
Collier Street United Church, 112 Collier Street, Barrie
Grace United Church, 350 Grove Street East Barrie
St. Margaret’s of Scotland Anglican Church, 161 Hamner St. West
Trinity Anglican Church, 24 Collier Street, Barrie
Westside Evangelical Lutheran Church, 510 Ferndale Dr. North
Donation Items for Little Food Pantries – Winter
Below are items that can be used in Barrie’s Little Pantries during the winter months.
- Individual Oatmeal packages
- Single serve cereal boxes
- Pasta or rice side dishes such as Sidekicks
- Granola bars
- Canned tuna or sardines packed in oil
- Dry soup noodles
- Hot chocolate packages
- Kraft Dinner
- Peanut butter
- Cookies, Candy bars, Chips
- Single serve tea or coffee
- Miscellaneous items such hand warmers, masks, hand sanitizer, new gloves or hats
Note: Please do not put items in the Little Food Pantries with water content that could freeze and compromise packaging or quality of item if they freeze and thaw. These items will be removed for food safety reasons.
