The Barrie Food Bank offers two programs, a Morning Drop In in which our main goal is to provide bread, some baked goods and baby products to young Mom’s. On occasion we will have extra soups, pastas and other grocery products which we would also hand out. The primary purpose of the Morning Drop In is to provide bread and we do this each morning from Monday to Friday between 8:30 and 11:30am. No paperwork is required to use the Morning Drop In program. We just ask that the individual bring a grocery bag for their bread.

The second program the food bank offers is our Grocery Program where we provide individuals and families a grocery order of a full variety of food from milk, eggs, cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, breakfast cereals, can vegetables, rice, soups, toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towel, fresh vegetables, juice, peanut butter, jam, can tuna & salmon, breads and baked goods and a whole host of other products to assist those in need. We offer the Grocery Program Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:30pm. Individuals and families wishing to use our Grocery Program provide us with proof of income, expenses and identification for themselves and other members of the family.

Over the past few months the food bank has assisted more than 2,900 individuals in each of the last 3 months. The number of users continues to climb at a staggering rate. Our goal is to assist those in need in the best way that we can with the two programs that we are able to offer.

Your generosity goes a long way to helping to equip us for these programs. Read more about how you can donate to the Barrie Food Bank.
