Peter has been with the Barrie Food Bank since June 2011, as the Executive Director he is responsible for the overall management and leadership of the food bank. His purpose in life is to serve others, which is a perfect fit when serving those in need and working closely with our volunteers and donors.

Michelle Simons

Michelle Simons

Operations Manager

Michelle has been with the food bank since July 2004. As the Operations Manager she is responsible for the overall day to day operations including food procurement, scheduling, food distribution and volunteer recruitment. Michelle has a passion for changing people’s lives. She loves to see people find healing in both body and spirit, be more equipped in knowledge and resources, and more hopeful in their circumstances than before they walked through the door. Michelle has a huge heart for our clients.

Front Desk Receptionist

Roberta joined the food bank team recently and has been a great addition to our team. She is responsible for greeting our visitors, managing our client files and entering client data into our data base system. Roberta has a passion for serving people and counts it a joy to be at the Barrie Food Bank.

Marie Ali

Marie Ali

Administrative Assistant

Marie has been a member of the food bank team since April 2004, as our Administrative Assistant, Marie diligently handles the administrative details of coordinating the food drive mailings, handling financial donations, generating tax receipts, correspondence and bookkeeping. Marie is always willing to serve our volunteers, donors and the people who use our services.

John

Van Driver

John joined our team in September of 2013 as our Van Driver, you will see him travelling throughout the city in the Food Bank van collecting food donations at local grocery stores, schools, churches, farms and businesses. Thanks to the generosity of our community John collects thousands of pounds of food each year. John’s servant’s heart is a true benefit to the food bank.
