What We Do
Our primary service is the provision of food to families and individuals to prevent them from going hungry. We do this through an afternoon program, held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00 to 3:30pm is designed to allow people to acquire food assistance. In addition to providing food for those in need, a key part of our program delivery is to encourage self sufficiency, as well as personal and family well being. A Resource Centre of brochures and literature is available for our clients to use referring them to other more knowledgeable services and agencies. Clients wishing assistance from our afternoon program must come in personal and needs to provide the following:
- Identification for all family members
- Proof of income and benefits (Employment, EI, Child Tax Credit)
- Proof of expenditures (rent, mortgage and utilities)
- Proof of current address
