The Barrie Food Bank’s mission is to provide food relief at no cost to individuals and families of our community who are in need, and to support them on their journey towards well-being. Our policies are designed to achieve this mandate. Of those who come to us for assistance, we strive to demonstrate compassion and respect for their dignity, and to serve as a source of encouragement.

Executive Director Sharon Palmer announces her retirement

July 2024 – Sharon Palmer, Executive Director of the Barrie Food Bank, recently announced her retirement. She sat down with RogersTV to reflect on her last 3 years with the organization:

This program sets the foundation for a stronger and more agile food banking system, which means we can provide even better service to those in need.
