Assistance

For our Emergency Food Assistance - please see the required documents listed below.

The following documents are required for each adult in the home. Please bring the current month's documents with you each time you come.

  1. Current Month's Income and Benefits (including Child Tax Credit, OSAP, EI, Pension, Employment, etc.

  2. Current Expenses (rent, mortgage & property taxes, utilities, other emergency bills or expenses, OSAP related receipts).

  3. Current address (cheque, bill or other mail showing name and address).

  4. Personal Identification (photo ID preferred) for each adult in the home.

  5. ID for dependants (birth certificate or health card or drug card or custodial papers).


Emergency food relief for a limited time period. Interviews and food distribution occur on Mon, Wed and Fri afternoons (1 - 3:30pm). Consultation and referral services also provided to encourage self sufficiency and personal well being. Barrie Food Bank is a nonprofit registered charitable organization.
